3/10/2018 0 Comments Day 1 Christmas at Disney World Day 1 at Disney World was awesome. Day 1 was on December 23 so Christmas was in full swing. Disney works hard to make sure that you have a relaxing time when staying at their resorts and when visiting their parks. On Day 1, we experienced Downtown Disney. We wanted to try the hot air balloon ride but it was too windy. It was great to enjoy the decorations and shopping that is available there. We ate lunch at Raintree Café. Raintree Café is a chain and the food was like any other family restaurant chain in America. The great thing about Raintree Café is the rainforest experience. Sydney enjoyed the realistic animals hanging from the ceilings and the noises they made. Our next stop was Magic Kingdom. Magic Kingdom at night is a great welcoming experience at any time of the year but at Christmas it is more magical. We were able to see Anna turn the castle into an ice castle. We spent time with Talking Mickey which was exciting even though he had laryngitis when we went. We ate at Tony’s Town Square restaurant which was a thrill for me because I am a Lady and the Tramp fan. I will never forget riding the tea cups with my mom and Sydney. It is my favorite ride at Disney World. The electric parade was a blast. Sydney was dressed like Minnie Mouse and that earned her a big kiss from Minnie during the parade. Whenever possible, let your children dress like their favorite characters. It is something that they can only get away with as children and it is so much fun. At Christmas, Santa visits Magic Kingdom and hot chocolate and cookies are plentiful. There is also snow falling which is pure magic in Florida. The lights and decorations are a display of art. We ended our day at park closing and we were excited for another day at the most magical place on Earth.
