6/7/2018 0 Comments Day 3 at Disney World Day 3 was Christmas Day!! We left pretty early because Disney reaches capacity quickly on Disney World. A great friend of ours made a Princess Tiana gown for Sydney. We were in full celebration mode! Our first stop was Crystal Palace for breakfast with Winnie the Pooh and Friends. I have always been a fan of Winnie the Pooh so I really enjoyed this. I maneuvered our Dining Plan to cover many of the character meals that we experienced. Sydney met Princess Tiana! Princess Tiana is very special to us because she is Disney’s first African American princess. We stayed in Magic Kingdom for the parade. The characters in the parade really made Sydney feel special by acknowledging her as “Little Tiana.” The Mad Hatter even left the parade route to shake her hand! Our next stop was something that I dreamed of since I was a child. We had lunch in Cinderella’s Castle. The lunch was exquisite. Most of the princesses were present. Sydney slept through it all! My mom and I enjoyed being princesses. It is something that I will have to do with her again. We headed back to the room because Magic Kingdom was extremely packed.
The Port Orleans resort is a great place to relax. There are pools, horse and carriage rides, and boat rides. We ate dinner there so that we could have a taste of Louisiana, which is our home, on Christmas. We were disappointed. This was the only unpleasant meal that we have had at Disney World. I will put a disclaimer here. If you are not from Louisiana, you will love the Louisiana food served here. I will also give Disney credit. They refunded our dining points for this meal because we did not enjoy it. Bad meal or not, this is still our favorite Christmas Day ever.
